What is kept
The server records aggregate usage data: which page was viewed, which site the visitor came from (the site's name only, not the full address) and a utm_source campaign tag when the link carried one. IP addresses and identifying details are not kept in this data.
To count returning visits in aggregate, your browser keeps one thing in its local storage: the date of its first visit to this site, with no identifier, for at most 13 months. Only whether a visit is a return (yes or no) is sent, and only counts are kept. A browser that sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track keeps nothing (and a date kept before is removed), and clearing this site's data in your browser removes the date.
The hosting provider
The site is served through Cloudflare. Like every infrastructure provider, Cloudflare processes IP addresses to protect the site from attacks, under its own privacy policy.
Tools on the site
Calculators and checklists run in your browser. What you type is not sent to us. A checklist keeps its progress in your browser's local storage only, and you can clear it at any time.
Videos
Some pages carry a YouTube video. Until you click it, only its thumbnail is shown, with no player, no script and no cookies. The thumbnail loads from YouTube's server, so YouTube receives your IP address, as with any image loaded from another site. Clicking the video loads YouTube's player in its enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and from then on Google's privacy policy applies.
Messages through the contact form
If you write to us, we use the details and the message only to answer, and delete them when they are no longer needed. To block spam, a short hash of the IP address (not the address itself) is kept for a short time.

You may ask to see the information kept about you and to correct or delete it. Write to us through the contact form.
